Information Card
Your handmade pen (or razor) came with an information card describing the hardware (components), the materials (wood, acrylic, etc.) and the type of refill used for that pen. There were also brief instructions on how to change the refill and the registration number (R##).
Refills are available for your pen at most office supply stores. Just take your refill and match it with the refill cards on the racks. They have a variety of brands and ink colors available, and also some 'gel' inks. |
Ballpoint Pens
Generally, the ballpoint pens will use a Cross or Parker refill. Rollerballs The rollerballs are pens that are capped. The cap helps to keep the ink in the cartridge from drying out. Refills are available at office supply stores and big box retailers. |
Fountain Pens
Our fountain pens come standard with an "ink cartridge" or a an "ink pump" either a piston-action or vacuum style pump. The ink pump is designed for ink to be loaded from a bottle. More on fountain pen care coming soon. |
